Step 1 – Sign Up

Step 2 – Study

Study for the final exam by logging in to our system. You are given as much preparation time for the exam as necessary. The final exam does not have a time limit.

Step 3 - Take the Exam

Complete the final exam. It generally takes between 1 and 2 hours to finish the final exam, although there is no time limit for completing the 75 multiple choice final. A passing score is 80%; therefore you must get 60 out of 75 questions correct to pass the ACLS or PALS exams. The BLS exam is comprised of 45 questions.

Step 4 – Take the Exam Again (if you need to)

You are able to see the questions that were incorrect if you do not pass. You can then make note of the incorrect questions in order to review the corresponding sections in the study material for your next attempt. You are able to retake the exam three times if you are not successful on your first try.

Step 5 – Obtain Your Card

Your PALS, ACLS or BLS card will be mailed and emailed to you. Immediately after you pass, you will be emailed a copy of your certification card. The hard copy of your card will be mailed to you for free. Your digital card can be printed and used as temporary proof while you wait for your hard copy card to arrive by mail.
